Care Guide

Description:

A flowering houseplant related to the African violet. Its long, crinkled leaves form a rosette from which elegant flower stems emerge. The trumpet-shaped blooms, in vibrant colors (purple, blue, pink, white), appear for several months.

Common name: Nodding violet
Botanical name: Streptocarpus sp.

Care: Place in a bright location, but out of direct sunlight. Water moderately: allow the surface of the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as this may cause root rot. Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.

Height: 20–30 cm
Spread: 25–40 cm
