Latin name: Ceropegia linearis subsp. woodii ‘Variegata’
Description: What could be more romantic than heartshaped
leaves, symbols of love and affection? This plant produces dozens of delicate heart-shaped leaves along long, trailing vines, making it ideal for small hanging baskets. Over time, you may notice the base of the plant forming a caudex, which serves as a water storage reserve.
Light: High, full sun
Watering: Allow the growing mix to dry between waterings.
Tips & tricks: Gently coil the stems onto the soil surface to encourage a fuller plant.
Watch for: Presence of mealybugs.
Available from March 1st to March 31st at participating garden centers and IGA stores.
